Extremely grateful today.
Woke up bright and early this morning, ready to conquer Monday. 2 hours into the morning, Zoey pukes after having some cereal for breakfast. It’s 9 am. I make the call to stay home instead of heading into the office.
It is the right call.
She continues to puke. Once after lunch and another time after dinner. We take a trip to the doctor in the evening and discover she has viral gastric flu. The doctor says she is the 4th case he has seen tonight and she’s only the 7th patient on the list! So the bug is making its rounds. He gives her some meds and says the worst should be over by tomorrow.
I am grateful that my working schedule allows me the flexibility of working from home when required.
I am grateful that healthcare in Singapore is so good that I can bring Zoey to see a doctor anytime even without an appointment.
I am grateful that Zoey is now asleep, resting after a long day for her.
I hope she feels better in the morning.
